Sustainability advancements in the global cut flower industry: What's next for Kenya’s producers?

On Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the Kenya Flower Council hosts an international conference exclusively organized for direct & active sector involved parties, focused on sustainability in the global cut flower industry, with a special emphasis on Kenya's role in driving these efforts forward.

"Join us for insightful discussions on the latest developments, the urgency of sustainability messaging to flower buyers worldwide, and the vital importance of conveying a unified message regarding the realities of cut flower cultivation," says Clement Tulezi, CEO of Kenya Flower Council.

"Floriculture in Kenya has long been a testament to the nation's entrepreneurial spirit and innovative capabilities. It plays a pivotal role in adding direct value to various sectors, making its stability crucial to Kenya's economy and beyond. While the industry faces challenges and vulnerabilities, we believe in its resilience and ability to adapt."

"By embracing responsible and innovative practices, backed by reliable data and transparency, we can overcome obstacles and strengthen Kenya's reputation as a leader in floriculture."

"Join us as we come together to explore opportunities, address challenges, and inspire positive change within the floral industry and beyond."

The conference will take place in the auditorium of the Oshwal Center, the same venue where, one day later, the 11th edition of IFTEX in Nairobi, Kenya, will be held from Tuesday, June 4, to Thursday, June 6. To register for the conference, please fill out the conference registration form.
