International Fresh Produce Association to sponsor Flower Trends Forecast 2024

The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) is sponsoring The Flower Trends Forecast 2024.

Since 2009, International Floral Distributors (IFD) has managed and published The Flower Trends Forecast, providing floral retailers with invaluable insights into consumer trends affecting the consumption of flowers and plants. The 2024 report continues this tradition, now offering a comprehensive digital suite of resources that includes trend videos, design imagery, and trend stories to empower floral retailers to capitalize on current and upcoming consumer preferences.

The 2024 edition of The Flower Trends Forecast features five key trends that will shape the floral industry in the coming year:

  1. Petals with Purpose: Emphasizing brands that intertwine corporate social responsibility with their core values, this trend appeals to consumers who value ethical practices and positive societal impact.
  2. Digital Blossoming: Exploring the intersection of technology and nature, this trend brings artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and virtual experiences into the floral industry.
  3. Floral Forward Generation: Recognizing Gen Z's affinity for authenticity, sustainability, and personalized experiences, this trend offers digital engagement and customized floral solutions.
  4. Palette Power: Leveraging the profound impact of color theory, this trend guides floral retailers in creating emotive and visually appealing floral designs.
  5. Home is Where Your Plants Are: Highlighting the psychological and emotional benefits of integrating plants into home spaces, this trend focuses on biophilic design and mindfulness.

Jeff Lanman, Executive Director of International Floral Distributors (IFD), expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "IFPA's sponsorship aligns perfectly with our goal of providing floral retailers with the knowledge and inspiration to thrive. Together, we can offer unmatched insights and resources to the industry, helping businesses connect with customers and grow their brands."

The collaboration between IFPA and IFD will provide the floral community with a wide range of resources, support, and advocacy. As the largest and most diverse international association serving the entire fresh produce and floral supply chain, IFPA is uniquely positioned to amplify the reach of The Flower Trends Forecast 2024. Deborah Zoellick, as IFPA's Director of Floral Programs, emphasized the significance of this partnership: "We are excited to sponsor The Flower Trends Forecast 2024. This partnership allows us to extend our reach into the floral community and provide actionable trends that will help the entire industry prosper."

Through this partnership, both organizations will promote the value of the floral industry and help businesses confidently navigate opportunities. By joining forces, IFPA and The Flower Trends Forecast will empower floral retailers to translate trend data into tangible strategies that resonate with consumers, from curated floral collections to innovative merchandising and marketing campaigns.
