Schneider Youngplants introduces new management structure

Schneider Youngplants is appointing New Directors to the management structure. Jacob Schneider is recognizing the significant efforts of his team and will strengthen his leadership with three new board members. The roles of the new Team of Four Directors are: Jacob Schneider – International Sales Director. Leon van der Meer – Finance Director. Jan Arends – Production Director. Geert – Jan Aaldering – Product Range Director.

Jacob Schneider continues to be the sole shareholder and owner of Schneider Youngplants.

"Contrary to the current market trend, we are seeing healthy growth at the moment," Jacob Schneider explains. "We have been raising young plants from seed and cuttings at our new production site in Woudrichem since 2022, and the new facility has generated substantial interest among our clients and international partners. Combined with an optimization drive in 2023 and a buoyant market, we expect to undergo dynamic growth over the next few years. It therefore seems sensible for the four of us to take on the responsibilities together from now on. That way we will be able to provide a broader foundation for our future growth."

Long-term relationships
With the new structure, Schneider Youngplants aims to maintain its core values such as personal contact and transparency: "Our raison d'être as a company lies in long-term relationships with our staff, partners, growers and business associates based on: honesty, collaboration and personal attention," Jacob says. "By splitting the management tasks between several people, we can guarantee future stability".

Expertise and sustainability were therefore taken into careful consideration when it came to choosing the new board. All the board members have more than earned their stripes in the green sector, and this young-minded, dynamic, and experienced team will allow us to plan ahead, building on the Directors core strengths and forming the future of the company. "We now have a board of directors that we can rely on for the long-term development," Jacob says.

This level of calm and stability is important for Schneider Youngplants, given that a stable way of working is a priority for the company. Jacob states "We are moving against the trend with the growth that we are currently achieving. As an independent company we are able to differentiate ourselves in the market, both as a reliable producer of young plants and as a partner to our clients – that's what we stand for."
