Groen-Direkt's Summer Days attract garden plant buyers from within and outside the Netherlands, so an ideal public for the presentation of such innovations, ensuring an appealing platform for the submitted plants.
The award will be presented immediately after the inspection, when the breeders will get to hear directly from the members of the jury how their novelty has been assessed. According ot the company, that information is of great importance for the further development and marketing of their products. Members of the trade press have also been invited to attend the inspection and presentation of the award.
The independent expert KVBC (Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society) jury will visually inspect the plants to assess aspects of their ornamental value, such as the color of their flowers, their flowering time and period, the color of the leaves, the plant's shape. And also properties such as health, propagation, and possibilities of use.
