Bangladeshi farmers see businesses bloom ahead of Victory Day

Flower farmers in Savar's Golap Gram are busy tending to their fields. While flowers are in demand throughout the year, sales see a significant boost during special occasions like Victory Day.

Despite a slight decline in cultivation last year, this season's better yields have raised farmers' hopes for higher sales. A visit to the area reveals farmers working day and night to maintain their flower gardens in Golap Gram, Birulia, Savar.

Special days like December 16 (Victory Day), New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, and February 21 (International Mother Language Day) drive up the demand for flowers exponentially. As in previous years, farmers are focusing on their gardens with expectations of extra profits for Victory Day.

This year, favorable weather has further enhanced the yield, and farmers anticipate even better results.
