In floriculture, timing, quality, and reliability are important, and this applies just as much to the transport as to the load carriers themselves. Load carriers such as carts, plates, and pallets must be at the right place at the right time and return neatly. This is precisely where De Wit Transport and Collitracker found each other. What started as a search for more insight into packaging management resulted in a collaboration that makes the process more transparent.

Registering load carriers
"About a year ago, I saw something interesting at a colleague's transport company," says Falko de Wit of De Wit Transport. "I thought, 'That could be the solution we need for better insight into our packaging management.' After exploring different providers, De Wit ultimately chose to partner with Collitracker. "Following three conversations and a clear outline of our requirements, we decided to move forward with them," he explains.
Collitracker is a software solution that simplifies and brings transparency to load carrier registration. "The name says it all," says founder Soerinder Somai. "Our software tracks what's where and what still needs to be returned—whether it's carts, crates, or pallets. At De Wit, for instance, they use Euro pallets. What we provide is a versatile system that can be integrated with other platforms, like Transpas, and gives both internal and external stakeholders a clear overview."
Involvement
What Falko especially values is Collitracker's hands-on involvement. "We had additional requirements that don't fit into standard systems," he explains. "Soerinder not only listened but actively thought along with us—and still does. He looks beyond just the software, considering the entire process: from operations to data flows and ICT systems. For us, that kind of support is truly invaluable. So many systems are rigid—we need flexibility."
Soerinder adds: "We help customers from A to Z. We delve into their situation and pull them through. Only a satisfied customer is good enough for us."

More control, better service
The collaboration is now paying off. The system is up and running, and it's gradually being fine-tuned in alignment with customer needs. "We now have real-time insight into the status of all our packaging materials," Falko says. "Planners can see exactly where each cart is and act accordingly. That level of transparency benefits both us and our customers. We've never had this kind of clarity before. Now we can say: This is the situation—does that match your records? If not, we're open to hearing it. That kind of openness builds trust."
For De Wit Transport, this approach has become the new standard. "With a fleet of 350 trucks, our packaging management has to be airtight," Falko emphasizes. "Our partnership with Collitracker helps us raise the bar and set ourselves apart through high-quality transport services. At the end of the day, that's our product—and we stand for quality."
