After months of growing inside, experts say a full line of plants, vegetables and flowers is ready to go. For many gardeners, Memorial Day Weekend means it's time to plant. Janice "Bunny" Matthews from Howard is shopping for the first time Tuesday.
"I got my Roma tomatoes. I have my Mountain Spring tomatoes. And I have my green peppers, my red peppers, my yellow peppers. Just that right now, I'm just starting," said Matthews.
A couple of greenhouses over, Dawn Williamson of Abrams says she's filling her list for flowers.
"I came in and I bought all of the vegetables. So now, I got that done. Now it's time for the fun stuff," said Williamson.
"We specialize in hanging baskets. We grow about 15,000 hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, shrubs trees," said Grant Wery, who owns Wery's Blossom Creek in Suamico.
