Florverde Sustainable Flowers (FSF) has announced the release of its updated Certification Standard, Version 8.0.
The updated standard—transitioning from Version 7.1.3—introduces more rigorous and globally aligned requirements, reinforcing FSF's leadership in sustainable agricultural certification. It now incorporates key elements of international frameworks such as biodiversity protection, corporate due diligence, and enhanced social safeguards, ensuring that certified farms remain competitive and compliant in major markets including the United States and the European Union.

What's new in Version 8.0?
Among the most impactful updates is full alignment with policies such as Walmart's Pollinator Health Policy, positioning Florverde as one of the few approved environmental standards for floral suppliers to the retail giant. These changes strengthen FSF's recognition and acceptance by environmentally conscious buyers worldwide.
The revised standard introduces expanded modules focusing on several critical areas: biodiversity and pollinator health, social responsibility and labor rights, and environmental performance and climate resilience. These additions highlight a comprehensive approach to addressing ecological and societal challenges, ensuring that the standard not only promotes environmental sustainability but also emphasizes the importance of humane and fair labor practices.
