India: "The rising trend of using fresh flowers is a boost for flower growers"

Shri Laxmi Flower Decoration, owned by Bharat Dilip Bhujbal of Bhosari, Pune, created a floral display for Ashadhi Ekadashi celebrations in Pandharpur, Maharashtra this year. The vibrant decor featured a rich mix of flowers including mogra, roses, marigolds, asters, orchids, anthuriums, dracaena, and crotons, along with a colorful selection of fruits such as apples, oranges, dragon fruit, and pineapples.

With the support of 40 to 50 skilled artisans, approximately five tons of flowers were used to craft the elaborate decorations. A striking sugarcane wall was also built as a special offering at the feet of Lord Vitthala.
