Hawaii: Fireworks replaced by 'flowerworks'

Fireworks were replaced with "flowerworks" this past Fourth of July at Outrigger's oceanfront resorts at their Kaanapali, Kauai, and Kona locations.

In place of traditional fireworks lighting up the night sky, thousands of fresh flowers were released from Blue Hawaiian Helicopters onto attendees below.

The aerial display swapped sparks for petals in a display of aloha, as helicopters hovered over each property and released a shower of locally-sourced flowers.
