US (FL): Bringing joy to Palm Beach using floral design

The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) is once again turning beauty into kindness with its "Blooms Over" program, an initiative that repurposes flowers from the organization's national symposium and delivers them to local communities.

"Blooms Over" has become a tradition—one that spreads joy, beauty, and connection to individuals who may not otherwise experience the magic of floral design.

This year, it takes place in Palm Springs during the 2025 AIFD Symposium, July 12-15, which also marks AIFD's 60th anniversary. After days of spectacular floral artistry, thousands of blooms from the event will be given a second life. Volunteers will gather to transform the event's arrangements into fresh bouquets, which are then delivered to local senior centers throughout the Greater Palm Springs area.

On the evening of July 14th around 6 p.m., AIFD members will gather at the Marilyn Monroe statue in downtown Palm Springs to hand out a few hundred bouquets, bringing smiles and surprise to the community while showcasing the heart of AIFD. There will also be a public floral design installation to enjoy.
