At the HTA National Plant Show in England on June 18, Lendert de Vos and Sjaak van Schie BV won two awards for hydrangeas from their Doppio series. The award-winning plants were submitted by exhibitor Javado and stood out for their distinctive double flowers and long shelf life.

Mike van Schie, Commercial Director at Sjaak van Schie B.V., is proud of the recognition: "Doppio® Fredo is a real eye-catcher. This white, double-flowered hydrangea combines strong branching with compact growth and an exceptionally long flowering period — over one hundred days. Typically, double-flowered hydrangeas are not as sturdy as this variety. We're proud that it received the silver New Plant Award."
Lendert de Vos, breeder and owner of the Doppio series, adds: "Of course, we're also thrilled with the bronze New Plant Award for Doppio® Rosato. This hydrangea stands out with its elegant, pink double blooms and its long shelf life of around one hundred days. Thanks to its compact habit and strong branching, it's ideal for containers, small gardens, or terraces."
