Three years ago, Yvonne van Holsteijn (54) lost her husband, who passed away while working among the bedding plants. For a while, she tried to continue his work, but it proved too physically demanding due to her Multiple Sclerosis.
With the support of friends and family, she started a new venture: Indoor Kitchen Gardens.
"On Saturday mornings, whoever feels like it joins us for a coffee at 10 o'clock," she told Dutch newspaper AD. "It's really like a small version of the Westland community, everyone helps each other out, and I'm proud of that."
Westland is a Dutch region, internationally renowned for its greenhouses.
