US: Imports of Dutch and German orchids approved by USDA

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is authorizing the importation of Phalaenopsis spp. orchid plants for planting in approved growing media from Germany and the Netherlands into the United States.

After careful analysis, APHIS has determined that this commodity can be safely imported from Germany and the Netherlands into the United States using a systems approach and additional safeguarding measures listed in the risk management document.

This change is effective as of publication in the Federal Register on July 22, 2025.
