The institute commenced operations on 09-08-2025, with an inaugural batch of 100 trainees, comprising both growers and field functionaries.

The initiative aims at upgrading gardening skills, introducing recent advances in landscaping, and promoting commercial floriculture, seeking to bridge the gap between traditional practices and modern, technology-driven approaches.
