On Saturday, 9 August, the streets of Rijnsburg, Katwijk, and Noordwijk once again burst into colour for the 78th edition of the Flower Parade Rijnsburg. This year's theme, Once Upon a Time…, brought a vibrant mix of fantasy and nostalgia to life, with floats inspired by everything from the circus and dinosaurs to the grower of yesterday and today, vintage Polygoon newsreels, The Flintstones, classic and modern art, fairy tales, 65 years of craftsmanship, and even a frosty Winter Wonderland.

More than 300,000 flowers, plants, vegetables, and artistic arrangements showcased the horticultural sector in all its glory. The opening float, themed Aladdin, set the tone, while musical floats featuring bands such as Casual Company and De Straatklinkers — along with numerous marching bands — filled the air with festive sounds for the crowds lining the route.
The Flower Parade Rijnsburg is more than just a celebration of blooms. It's a tribute to creativity, teamwork, and tradition. Year after year, this beloved event enchants visitors young and old with its rich blend of colour, music, and storytelling.
Prizes
A day earlier, the official opening took place during the Flower Parade show, with the awards announced by the professional and public juries. These are divided into several categories.

The binders award was also received by Westland Bloemen Export (WBE) Rijnsburg.

Model Winner Flower Parade junior 2025
Koningin Emmaschool from Rijnsburg won the prize with the idea for the Flintstones float and the personal car with the hourglass.

Theme 2026
The theme for next year is 'Musical Floral Reception'. With this theme, the Flower Parade Rijnsburg aims to surprise its audience on August 7, 8, and 9, 2026.
