With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Production and the joint work of institutions such as INTA and the Faculty of Forestry Sciences, Misiones is making progress in strengthening its Strategic Plan for Floriculture. The presentation of the Cooperative of Producers of Plants, Flowers, and Related Products is a milestone in the sector's consolidation as an engine of productive diversification.
The Advisory Board for the Promotion of Floriculture, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Production, has established itself as a key space to comprehensively address the activity. State institutions, universities, producers, traders, and industrialists participate in it with the aim of articulating promotion, production, industrialization, and consumption actions throughout the chain.

This work has resulted in an initial proposal for a Strategic Plan for the Development of Floriculture in Misiones, which defines lines of action such as improving logistics and distribution, promoting sustainable technologies, and strengthening marketing channels in local, regional, and national markets.
"The Advisory Board allowed us to draw up, together with producers and institutions, a Strategic Plan that defines clear priorities: improving logistics, promoting sustainable technologies, and strengthening marketing channels. The creation of the cooperative is a decisive step towards achieving these objectives," stated Luciana Imbrogno, Undersecretary for Plant Development.
Institutional and technical references that support the articulated work were fundamental in this process. These included Mayra Rolhayser, Jorge Florentín, and Analía Mango from the Ministry of Agriculture and Production, Doris Bischoff from INTA, and Guillermo Kuppers from the Faculty of Forestry Sciences.
Training cycle: Floriculture as a productive opportunity
In parallel, the Ministry of Agriculture and INTA develop a cycle of theoretical and practical workshops in different locations in the province to disseminate floriculture as an economic alternative. More than 100 producers have already participated in workshops held in Eldorado, Garuhapé, Wanda, Iguazú, Jardín América, Capioví, Santo Pipó, El Soberbio, and Andresito.
The workshops include technical talks, dissemination of the Strategic Plan, and exchange spaces to collect producers' demands and to invite them to join the Advisory Board.
The establishment of MISIOFLOR
Miosoflor, the Cooperative of Plant, Flower, and Related Producers, made up of more than 30 founding members from various municipalities, was formally presented on July 30 at the Vivero Orquídeas SRL in San Ignacio.
This cooperative was created to address a shared challenge: marketing. Producers agreed that organization, planning, and joint sales are key to growing in scale and quality. It will make it possible to unify production, processing, and marketing under common standards, access specialized technical inputs and services, and meet the growing local and national demand in an organized manner.
"The establishment of MISIOFLOR reflects the path we have chosen for Misiones: to build development through organization and cooperation. Floriculture is a strategic opportunity to diversify our production and strengthen the leading role of producing families in the provincial economy," stated Minister Facundo López Sartori.
The articulation with Biofábrica Misiones to research and produce seedlings of various species destined for floricultural nurseries was also raised at the event.
