Spanish flower and plant exports remain stable

Spanish flower and plant exports from January to May 2025 totalled €404 million, the same value as in the same period in 2024.

International sales of plants in the first five months of 2025 decreased by 1% over the same period last year, reaching €329 million and remaining the leading category within this sector.

Plant exports were led by outdoor plants with €160 million (-6%), tree and shrub exports with €74 million (+13.5%), and indoor plants with €60 million (-2%).

Cut flowers were the sector's second most exported category. Cut flower exports amounted to €50 million, 15% more than in the same period of 2024. Roses and carnations led exports with €9 million and €6 million respectively.

Foliage was the third most exported category, with exports of €22 million (-6%), and bulbs ranked fourth, with €5 million and an 11% growth, according to Customs data processed by FEPEX.
