Floritec opens new breeding facility in Rionegro, Colombia

Floritec has announced the opening of Linda Vista, its new breeding facility in Rionegro, Colombia, situated in the heart of one of the country's key chrysanthemum production regions.

The doors of Floritec will open for the very first time to customers and visitors during Chrysanthemum Week 35, when Floritec organizes the Floritec Flower Festival. Guests are welcome to discover an inspiring showcase of the latest assortment of Santinis, spray chrysanthemums, and disbuds.

Local breeding, global impact
Colombia is a key market in the global chrysanthemum industry. With Linda Vista, Floritec has invested in a strong, future-proof facility to develop and test varieties tailored to local growing conditions and market demands. The facility includes 6,000 m² for breeding and trialing, clean mother stock production, and an additional 500 m² of quarantine area, ensuring a solid genetic foundation and secure supply chain for today and tomorrow.
