Tourists visit Dutch garden center

'The Germans don't have such garden centers'

At Zeelandplant in Grijpskerke, the Netherlands, you'll find everything you need to turn your garden, big or small, into a little paradise. The business is run by Jan Willem de Witte together with his wife, Marjolein van Sluijs, and a dedicated team of about 25 employees. Recently, they welcomed a reporter from the PZC (link in Dutch).

"The tourists have really discovered us," they explained in the interview. "German visitors in particular are amazed. Back home, they usually buy plants in a small corner of the supermarket or DIY store. When they come here, they can hardly believe the range of plants we offer, and they're surprised at the prices too."
