On October 8-9, 2025, the Association of Colombian Nurseries and Ornamental Growers, Colviveros, will host the first edition of Expo Ruta Viverista. This event will feature a tour through the main hubs for the production, marketing, and export of ornamental plants in the Western Savanna of Bogotá. The gathering aims to bring together a diverse group of participants, including growers, distributors, input suppliers, breeding companies, landscape architects, and large-scale buyers, providing a platform for networking and collaboration.

Jairo Cadavid, President of Colviveros, highlighted that the primary goal of this new initiative is to offer participants a unique experience. It is designed to allow attendees to discover the latest trends in the industry firsthand. Moreover, the event aims to boost productivity and innovation while establishing strategic business partnerships with key stakeholders in the nursery value chain.

To facilitate this experience, five different bus routes will be organized, enabling participants to visit the commercial exhibition and showrooms of various companies. These include industry leaders such as Benary, Bromelias de Colombia, Dümmen Orange, EuroGarden, Flores del Río, French Quarter, Hilverda Florist, LYG Agroflowers, Las Palmas y Jardines de Manuel, MFS Productos, Morel, Orquídeas de Clima Frío, Panamerican Seeds, Sáenz Fety, Schoneveld, Syngenta, Vitro Plus, and XL Bloom, among others.

The event is being organized with the support of the Colombian Society of Landscape Architects, as well as the municipalities of Fusagasugá and San Antonio del Tequendama. This collaboration aims to enhance the overall experience and success of Expo Ruta Viverista, positioning it as a premier event in the ornamental plant industry.
