MP hails promising Belarus-China flower project

Belarus and China expect a successful joint project in greenhouse farming, particularly in flower cultivation, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic and businessman Dmitry Baskov in Beijing on 2 September.

Earlier in Beijing, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with the management of a Chinese company that may take part in developing greenhouse farming in Belarus to grow flowers.

"China has long been a strategic partner for Belarus in various fields. And we have all seen that the foundation of this development is the kind and sincere relations between our two leaders," the deputy chairman said. "Meetings with business companies discussed a Chinese initiative to build and operate greenhouses in Belarus. Greenhouses to grow beautiful flowers."
