Strategic presence in a key export market
The UK remains one of the most important export destinations for the Flemish ornamental horticulture sector. At the same time, Belgium ranks among the top three suppliers of ornamental plants (excluding cut flowers) to the British market. Nurseries, garden centers, landscape architects, municipalities and wholesalers in the UK have long relied on Flemish growers for their consistent quality, flexibility and wide product range.
By joining Four Oaks 2025, this strong trade relationship was reinforced once again. "For our sector, Four Oaks is the platform to maintain existing partnerships in the UK and to create new ones. The interest that Flemish companies attract here underlines the strong reputation our growers have built. Once again, the fair proves its value as a meeting point between supply and demand," says Hartwig Moyaert, promotion manager for ornamental horticulture at VLAM.
