More than 100 growers attended the customer day at Florensis in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, the Netherlands, last Wednesday, where – alongside a nice barbecue – plenty of knowledge was shared on resilient cultivation by several guest speakers.

Jan Eppinga, local product manager at Florensis, looks back positively on the Garden Performance Day. "For many of our customers, this is the ideal time to dive deeper into resilient cultivation. And it's wonderful to be able to do this at our own location, walking through the garden together with our growers. It's the perfect moment to assess the reblooming of annuals and perennials and also to take a look at the autumn assortment."

Guest speakers included Marcel Hoogland of Intratuin, Helma Verberkt of Artemis, and independent consultant Eddo de Veer. Helma addressed the importance of introducing elements of resilient growing into growers' operations, particularly focusing on biological crop protection. Eddo shared how knowledge gained in arable farming on resilient cultivation can be applied to horticulture. Marcel emphasized that it is crucial for the entire sector to maintain consumer confidence.

In the trial garden, the Petunia Color Rush was in full bloom, providing a colorful view right in the center of the garden. The trial field also drew many visitors, where growers, drink in hand, could walk among trials of asters, dahlias, salvias, and other perennials.
