UK: Nominees for BFA Industry Awards 2025 announced

Once again, the BFA Industry Awards have seen an incredible response – with a huge number of votes cast and some standout entries from across the UK.

"This year's shortlist was stronger than ever, and narrowing it down to our finalists has been no easy task," says the BFA. "The BFA judging panel carefully scored each entry against set criteria, and their marks have been combined with your public votes to decide our finalists. Every finalist earned their spot through a mix of skill, passion and public support."

The winners will be revealed live on stage at the BFA Industry Awards Ceremony on Saturday 4th October at FleurEx, held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham – and announced live on the BFA's Instagram and Facebook Stories.

Finalists
Floristry Student of the Year

Tutor nominated and panel judged only. The finalists are Hannah Friel from Moreton Morrell College, Lilia Rider from The Floristry School in Sheffield, Megan Deakin from The Floristry School in Sheffield, and Laura Blackett from Wigan & Leigh College.

Floristry Tutor of the Year
The finalists are Anne Marie Grant from CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Jane Benefield from Moreton Morrell College, Sherry Suet from the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, Victoria Veasey from City of Bristol College, and Shelley Jefferson from Capel Manor College.

Floristry Training Provider of the Year
The finalists are Doncaster College, Bicton College in Budleigh Salterton, CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Askham Bryan College, and Moreton Morrell.

Grower of the Year
The finalists are Lower Norton Flower Farm in Hampshire and Irish Green Guys in Ireland.

Floristry Service Provider of the Year
The finalists are Details Flowers Software, Direct2florist, Digital Florist, Strelitzia Software, and Morgan-Douglas Nuth.

Sundries Supplier of the Year
The finalists are Floral Box, Floristry Market, and OASIS Floral Products.

Flower Supplier of the Year
The finalists are Hoek and Van der Plas.

Local Flower Wholesaler of the Year
The finalists are Flowervision Lancashire, Flora North Ltd, and Westflor.

Sustainability Advocate of the Year
The finalists are Denise Cross from Bicton College, Sarah Hughes from Wigan & Leigh College, Flowervision Lancashire, and The Farewell Flowers Directory.

Wedding/Event Florist of the Year
The finalists are Bud and Flower in Kirdford, Orchis Floral Design in Sheffield, The Lilypad Florist in Stroud, Lilys Flowers Ltd in Lightwater, and The Blossom Room in Wigan.

Retail Florist of the Year
The finalists are Bluebell and Ivy in Ulverston, Cumbria; Chelsea Flowers of Wilmslow in Cheshire; Flowers by Karen in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire; Bluebells Lincoln Ltd in Lincolnshire; Beehive Florist in Chelmsford; The Rose Garden in Essex; BEAU-K Florist in Eastbourne; John R Thomas Florist Ltd in Church Stretton; The Flower Shop in Pontefract; and Courts of Rayleigh Florist Ltd in Rayleigh.

New for 2025, viewers can join the BFA's in the Atrium bar from 8pm to watch a live Stream of the Awards ceremony, enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere.
