On August 15, 2025, Agrivaldani, together with De Ruiter Ecuador and Lottas Floral Studio, hosted the "Color Revolution" event at the De Ruiter Showroom in Ecuador. The gathering brought together growers, breeders, and floral designers with one clear goal: to showcase creative, nontraditional uses of flowers and colors beyond seasonality.
"The main idea was to promote creative ways of using all flowers and colors throughout the year," says Daniela Lobato Jarrin, COO of Agrivaldani. "This theme was important to us because as an industry we have so much more to offer than just seasonality. We are an industry that is rich in colors, varieties, and products, and we want the world to know it."

A collaborative program
The day began with networking and food, followed by welcoming words from Agrivaldani CEO Valeria Lobato, Elizabeth Muñoz, Sales Manager at De Ruiter, and Shallima Turizo, CEO of Lottas Floral Studio. Shallima then gave a presentation on nontraditional color combinations and floral design basics to inspire participants for the main activity.
The highlight of the event was the collaborative creation of a large floral installation. Guests, divided into groups, each worked on a different part of the piece. "The end result was amazing; there was a lot of camaraderie and collaboration between different key players in the industry," Daniela recalls.

Partnership with De Ruiter and Lottas Floral Studio
The collaboration came naturally. "This was an idea that we've had for a while, and we thought that during this time of the year, it would be a perfect moment to execute it," Daniela explains. "As Agrivaldani, we wanted to promote more of the varieties that we grow; De Ruiter wanted to promote the varieties they breed, and we both knew that a Floral Experience with our talented friend Shallima would be the perfect way to do it."

Attendees and reactions
In total, 30 guests attended, including clients based in Quito, cargo agencies, Expoflores, and other farms. "The visitors had a lot of fun channeling their inner florists and exploring their creative sides," Daniela shares.

Standout varieties
Among the showcased flowers, several stood out. "The variety that caught the most attention was Zendaya, a new De Ruiter creation. It is a sand/lavender rose, and right now we are the only farm growing it," Daniela says.
Agrivaldani also presented a tinted Cute Enigma, a product soon to be launched, as well as their newest summer flower addition, White Callas, used in both natural white and tinted olive green. Another highlight was Born Free, an up-and-coming red rose. "It is a great variety to grow; at our farm we love this new red, and so do many of our clients," Daniela notes.

Looking ahead
Given the positive reception, Agrivaldani plans to host more events like this. "It was such a unique experience for us and for our guests. We had a great time and believe that this message still needs to be heard around the industry. We would like to make this a recurring theme in different events," Daniela says.
For her, the event reflects the strength of collaboration. "These kinds of events show that different key parts of the industry can collaborate very well for a common theme that can benefit us all."
