On September 11, the PlantXperience of Schoneveld Breeding was the venue for the Groenpact Event. With 300 participants, it was a sold-out house. Groenpact is a collaboration of various educational and knowledge institutions that learn, innovate, and work together on the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The day was festively opened by Peter van de Pol, Director of Schoneveld Breeding. He warmly welcomed Roald Lapperre, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV). Lapperre once received a valuable message from his professor: "You have now graduated, but you are not finished learning" – a reminder that lifelong learning is essential.

Entrepreneur and grower Amber Laan then gave a contribution on what it takes to make an agricultural business future-proof.

The event was full of knowledge exchange, networking, and working together towards innovative solutions. Topics ranged from biodiversity and resilient cultivation to plant breeding, green leadership, and value creation.
