A rather unusual pallet of flowers caused quite a stir on Monday, September 8, at the auction grounds in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, which the police are now investigating. "The pallet of flowers looked suspicious," a police spokesperson told NH Nieuws.
When customs officers teamed up with the police to take a closer look, they discovered nearly 100 kilos of cocaine hidden among the shipment of flowers. The drugs were immediately confiscated and will be destroyed. So far, no arrests have been made.
