A greener path: Ecologic
One of the company's most recent initiatives is the launch of Ecologic, a collection of sustainable packaging solutions designed specifically for the floral industry.
"Ecologic reflects where the market is heading," Zwaan explains. "Our partners want packaging that reduces environmental impact but still delivers on functionality and beauty. With Ecologic, we've combined responsible materials with designs and attractive finishes that truly enhance the flowers."
The line includes grass paper; made with fast-growing grass fibers, reducing the need for traditional wood pulp and Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics; giving existing plastics a second life while reducing waste. "These materials allow us to offer products that are both sustainable and suited to the demands of the floral supply chain," Zwaan adds.
