Argos Packaging has been announced as the winner of the Rethink Award 2025 in the Reduce & Reuse category. The award was given for the APP Flowercrate, a reusable crate solution specially developed for the floriculture industry.
The APP Flowercrate replaces single-use cardboard and outdated plastic crates with a sustainable, reusable system that fits seamlessly into existing logistics processes. During development, the focus was on efficiency in terms of space, transport and handling, as well as reducing environmental impact.

The innovation was developed in close collaboration with Didak, Heemskerk Flowers, Van der Plas Group and Celdomy. These partners played an important role in the further development and practical application of the Flowercrate.
The Rethink Awards, organised by NRK and Plastics Europe, highlight companies that contribute to the circular economy every two years. The recognition for the APP Flowercrate underlines the importance of collaboration and innovation in making the sector more sustainable.
