"Proflora and Colombia's flower export industry would not exist without the invaluable contribution of its workers. Without them, Flowers of Colombia would not be what it is today. I am delighted to congratulate all the winners and the more than 230 workers who took part in this competition. A big round of applause for them and our heartfelt recognition," said Augusto Solano, President of Asocolflores.

The contest took place at Corferias, as part of the Proflora trade show, and included participants from most of the flower farms across the Bogotá Savannah. The event spotlighted the essential role of workers in Colombia's export floriculture value chain. Their talent, dedication, and passion are the driving force that allows the country to stand out worldwide for the diversity and quality of its flowers, consolidating its position as a global leader in production and exports.

The contest also became an opportunity to promote a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing within the floriculture sector. During the competition, participants formally demonstrated their best skills, while in informal moments they exchanged advice, supported each other, and learned together — strengthening their abilities and continuously improving working conditions on the farms. The winners of the six contest categories stood out for their skill and precision in each evaluated task. The expert judges evaluated each category considering the allotted time, quality of execution, and adherence to ergonomic standards. Each winner received medals and certificates recognizing their talent, dedication, and contribution to strengthening Colombia's floriculture industry. In each category, the top three places were awarded, recognizing the excellence of the workers in every skill evaluated.

"This contest reflects the social commitment that Asocolflores recognizes as essential for the growth and development of the communities where floriculture is present, benefiting more than 240,000 formal employees, their families, and communities. Our sincere recognition and congratulations to all participants and winners," concluded Augusto Solano, President of Asocolflores.
