As part of the Turkish "Greenhouse Development Project," which was started to boost agricultural output and aid in rural development, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to offer farmers 50% grants for modern greenhouse support. The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Affairs Department oversees the project, which promotes greenhouse farming and provides farmers with economic prospects. Contemporary greenhouses improve product quality, promote diversity, and allow for controlled and effective production. This boosts the local economy and increases farmers' competitiveness in the market.
In the Kocakaymaz, Saricaali, and Beyce communities of Kandira, as well as the Sahinler, Bogurgen, and Gokceoren neighborhoods of Izmit, greenhouse ground anchoring work has been finished as part of the project. The installation of ironwork and anchoring in Karamursel's Safiye district is finished.
The 512 square meter greenhouses are divided into two blocks, each measuring 16 meters in width and 32 meters in length. These contemporary buildings with a high tunnel system are made to be pest-resistant, easily maintained, and properly ventilated. The greenhouses are built with demountable galvanized profiles and can withstand rain, hail, storms, and snow. The UV + IR (LD) + EVA-enhanced nylon covers, which last for 36 months, lessen the chance of frost and the requirement for pesticide application.
207 farmers will receive 512 square meters of contemporary greenhouses from this year's installations. This assistance, a project that the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Association. Prof. Dr. Tahir Buyukakin greatly values, will raise rural incomes, and hasten farmers' adoption of contemporary farming methods.
