As of October 21, 2025, it's official: the restart of Schneider Youngplants B.V. has become a reality. Two new investors, Jan den Hartog and Bernd Postma, have taken over the company following the bankruptcy.
Schneider Youngplants will focus on the production of young plants from seed – including annuals, biennials, perennials, cut flowers, and Cyclamen.
Jan den Hartog will act as an engaged investor, while Bernd Postma will lead the transformation process. Jacob Schneider remains the driving force behind international sales, and Jan Arends continues to be responsible for production and product innovation.

The new investors have a clear goal in mind: From the location in Woudrichem, they aim to develop Schneider Youngplants into the most automated and highest-quality producer of seed-raised young plants in Europe.
Schneider Youngplants has issued a thank you to its suppliers – especially the seed suppliers – who have unanimously expressed their confidence in the restart and are ready to work with the company to realize the professionalism and ambitions of Schneider Youngplants.
It has been confirmed that in early November, company representatives will be present at the Horti Fair in Aalsmeer.
