Myanmar: Israeli ambassador, MFVP discuss cooperation in flower sector

Aiming to sustain the cooperation in the fruit, flower and vegetable sector development, the Israeli ambassador to Myanmar met officials from the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association on 5 November.

Since 2013, MFVP has sent young agricultural graduates or diploma holders in agriculture to 11-month training courses under the cooperation with Israel.

Israeli Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Hanan Goder Goldberger also had a meeting with the delegation led by MFVP chair and secretary on 30 October, and he visited again on 5 November to encourage strengthening the ongoing cooperation, and he emphasized that experts will be sent in 2026 to enhance the technical support.

During the meeting, the ambassador said the country, which is the size of just Yangon and its farming population is just two percent, exports its agricultural products and advanced technologies around the world.
