Submissions for the Show Your Colours Award IPM 2026 are now open

During the International Pfanzenmesse (IPM) 2026 in Essen (Germany), the Show Your Colours Award will once again be presented. This prize is intended for IPM exhibitors with woody plants and perennials. They can submit plants and/or concepts for the award. The organizer, Messe Essen, collaborates with BIZZ Holland for this event.

At Show Your Colours 2026, the focus is on the added value of the plant: the story behind it, the presentation, or the concept that makes the plant extra special. Storytelling plays an important role here. Both individual plants and complete plant concepts are eligible to participate. All exhibitors with woody plants and perennials can submit their plant or plant concept.

A plant with added value
A beautiful plant alone is often not enough to convince consumers. Only when something extra is added—an appealing label, a stylish pot, or a strong story—does the product gain real appeal. Many companies now know how to make optimal use of this. The Show Your Colours Award IPM encourages participants to showcase precisely this extra dimension of their product.

Free and easy participation
Participation in the Show Your Colours competition is free of charge. All exhibitors with woody plants and perennials can submit their entry via the digital registration form. The deadline for submissions is December 12, 2025. From all entries, a professional jury will select 10 nominees who will compete for the title.

Public vote and expert judgement
The nominated plants will be on display during the trade fair in Hall 8. Visitors can cast their votes for their favorite entry. On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the professional jury will evaluate the submissions, and the winner will be announced at 3:00 p.m. at the BIZZ Holland stand, also located in Hall 8.
