"Why is the cutting stage important for the quality of spray roses?"

Lisa Casta from Interplant Roses answers this question in a video that follows the complete journey of a spray rose, starting with the very first steps in the breeding process and ending with the moment the flower reaches the consumer's vase.

According to Interplant, the vase life of a rose is never determined by a single action. Instead, it depends on a careful interaction between every stage of the chain. The video highlights each phase in turn: the breeding facilities, the vase-life testing room, the grower, the auction, the florist and finally the consumer. At every step it becomes clear how decisions made early in the propagation and breeding process influence the final quality of the flower.

"When the entire chain is aligned, we clearly see that our spray roses deliver deeper color, more blooms and a longer vase life," Interplant explains. "By continuing to learn from one another, by innovating and sharing knowledge, we can strengthen global appreciation for spray roses and establish a new standard for the future."
