Cree LED is expanding its horticulture portfolio with the introduction of the XLamp® XP-G3 Far Red LEDs, engineered to deliver efficiency, reliability and seamless system upgrades for horticulture lighting manufacturers.
Designed to optimize supplemental lighting in the critical 720-740 nm range, the new XP-G3 Far Red LEDs achieve a 21% boost in efficiency compared to the previous-generation XP-E2 Far Red. This leap in performance enables growers and fixture manufacturers to maximize crop yields and overall plant quality while reducing energy costs.

The XP-G3 Far Red LED leverages Cree LED's advanced S Line technology, providing unmatched sulfur and corrosion resistance for long-lasting durability in demanding grow environments. Its robust build ensures consistent operation across repeated cycles of dimming and power changes.
To support diverse fixture design needs, the new family launches with three optical profiles: S Line (Standard Dome), which is a traditional dome design with no beam shaping; the Horizon70, a batwing-style profile delivering improved uniformity across plant canopies; and the Horizon90, the industry's widest beam distribution for applications requiring low mounting heights.
Featuring the same 3.45 mm XP footprint as the XP-E2 Far Red LEDs, the XP-G3 Far Red LEDs allow for effortless drop-in upgrades, preserving existing board designs while elevating performance.
