This fall, tens of thousands of children planted flower bulbs across the Netherlands, Germany, England, France, Canada, and Sweden. They learned how and when to do this with a free flower bulb kit from Bulbs4Kids.

Million flower bulbs
As part of the project, 2,060 classes received a Bulbs4Kids kit. With the 600 flower bulbs in each kit, more than 1.2 million flower bulbs were planted in school gardens. And even more importantly, all these classes learned about flower bulbs in a fun and educational way thanks to the Bulbs4Kids project
Participating primary schools
The 2,060 flower bulb packages were distributed to primary schools that registered for the program across the Netherlands, Germany, England, France, Sweden, and Canada.

How does it work?
The Bulbs4Kids flower bulb kit contains everything children need to learn and experience how bulbs grow into colorful flowers in an educational way. The kit includes various types of flower bulbs, trowels, plant markers, workbooks, and lesson plans for teachers. Bulbs4Kids also includes a photo and video contest. The grand prize is the Gouden Bloembol 2026 (Golden Flower Bulb).
Green is healthy
More and more research confirms the positive influence of nature on health. Playing in and with a natural environment contributes to a balanced and healthy development in children. It makes children more creative, smarter, and fitter.
