Lazzeri Open Day 2025

A closer look at new Poinsettia genetics and industry trends

Lazzeri's annual Open Day 2025 drew more than 250 growers, technicians, and industry professionals from Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and several other countries. The event combined technical insights, crop evaluations, and networking, giving visitors a full overview of Lazzeri's latest developments.

Poinsettias in the spotlight
Participants toured the company's greenhouses to view this year's Poinsettia portfolio, including 17 commercial varieties, 2 pre-commercial selections, and 7 trial varieties. One of the key talking points was Superba Galaxy, a new addition to the Superba line, appreciated for its vigor, uniformity, and a distinctive "luminous" appearance.

Thanks to collaborations with growers in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, the same varieties were also displayed in different pot sizes, offering visitors a comparative look at how genetics perform across varying climates and cultivation systems.
