As both producers and brokers, they offers many different floral solutions, mainly focused on the potted side of the industry. Recently, Bayview has been investing heavily in its hydrangea program which they started again a few years ago and are doing their best in keeping up with the demand, that is outpacing the supply, without compromising on quality.

UK: A look inside RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025

After the exclusive opening for the King and Queen and celebrities on Monday, followed by two days for RHS members, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show welcomes the general public from Thursday until Saturday. This flower show, with over a century of history in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in London, has become a renowned event, attracting participation from many UK nurseries, breeders, landscapers, and florists. It is even listed fifth on Kuoni's 2024 list of world's unmissable travel experiences, and up to 168,000 visitors are expected each year.

The new agreement aims to streamline trade in agricultural and food products by reducing border checks and aligning certain standards. This development is part of a broader effort to reset post-Brexit relations and enhance economic cooperation. "I welcome the agreement to renegotiate and reset our trading relationship with the EU."

US: Honoring heroes with flowers on Memorial Day

On the last Monday of May (which fell on May 26 this year), Americans pause to remember the heroes who gave their lives in service to their country. Traditionally, visitors and family members place flowers at the gravesites of America's heroes and for 15 years, The Memorial Day Flowers (MDFF) Foundation is facilitating this tradition. This year, the Foundation placed more than 150,000 flowers at Arlington National Cemetery, continuing its mission of national remembrance. In a heartfelt extension of this initiative, a group of floral industry volunteers distributed more than 3,500 red roses at the South Florida National Cemetery, located just an hour north of Miami.

"It has been an uphill battle, but I'm proud that the concept upgraded the look of the Kenya flower export industry", says John Kowarsky of Cargolite. This innovative packaging concept is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and at the IFTEX in Nairobi, Kenya, taking place from June 3-5, they will raise a toast to the many farms, freight partners, and early adopters who believed in the possibility of change. As part of the celebration, the company will unveil the latest innovation developed by Tama, a multinational company based in Isreal. It is named "Innovent" and is a new, recyclable, plastic pallet wrap that creates more stability, complete ventilation and contributes to reducing the carbon footprint.
