The organizers of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt have announced the Spring Edition 2026, taking place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 February 2026 at the GROEN-Direkt complex in Hazerswoude-Dorp/Boskoop, the Netherlands. The event continues to grow: the total exhibition space will increase by more than 10% compared to the Spring Edition 2025.
"This growth reflects the confidence of growers and suppliers in this established trade fair at the start of the garden plant season. Plantarium|Groen-Direkt continues to strengthen its position as the leading meeting and trading platform for European garden plant buyers and nursery businesses," the organization states.

More space, more offerings, more connections
The expansion of the exhibition floor creates room for both existing exhibitors to enlarge their presentations and for numerous new exhibitors who will participate for the first time in 2026. These new participants will be introduced in the lead-up to the fair via newsletters and social media, and can of course be visited at the fair. Once again, the fair offers plenty of room for innovative, often immediately available products through the Green Retail Award and the Wall of Fame.

As in previous editions, Plantarium|Groen-Direkt will be held in combination with the adjacent Groen-Direkt trade fair, featuring 6,000 directly orderable sample lots from 500 growers. This unique combination creates an efficient and content-rich trade fair concept, where inspiration, networking, and direct trading come together.
Green Future Hub: 'The Assortment of 2030'
In 2026, the Plantarium Green Future Hub will focus on 'The Assortment of 2030'. In collaboration with trade magazine De Boomkwekerij, the hub will look ahead to the impact of climate change and sustainability on the future range of nursery products.
Which species and selections are future-proof? And how do drought, heat, regulations, and sustainable cultivation influence the choices growers and buyers are making today and in the future? These questions are central to the Green Future Hub program.

The official start of the buying season
The Spring Edition of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt has established itself as the official kickoff of the garden plant-buying season. The timing aligns perfectly with the purchasing schedules of garden centres, wholesalers, and retailers, and provides growers with a strong platform to showcase their current assortments and innovations. At the time of this release, the exhibition space is likely (almost) sold out, but exhibitors can already register for the Autumn Fair on 26 and 27 August.

Free admission for trade visitors
Trade visitors can pre-register for quick and free entry via plantariumgroendirekt.nl. The Spring Edition will take place on Tuesday 3 February (07:00 - 17:00) and Wednesday 4 February (07:00 - 16:00) at the Groen-Direkt building, Noorwegenlaan 37, Hazerswoude-Dorp/Boskoop, The Netherlands.
In addition to the Spring Edition, the date for the Autumn Edition has already been set: Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August 2026.
