TTA-ISO's partnership with Horizon Technologies and Linflowers Chrysanten is officially supported by the European Union. Together, the three organizations are developing a fully automated harvesting and processing system for chrysanthemums, one of the Netherlands' most cultivated flowers after tulips. As a major crop for both national production and export, chrysanthemums hold significant economic value.
Although several cultivation steps have already been automated, harvesting has remained a labor-intensive challenge. To address this, the partners are working together to develop the HVC (Harvester Chrysanthemum): an advanced system that fully automates the cutting, transport, sorting, and bunching of chrysanthemums, seamlessly integrating with existing greenhouse infrastructure.

With funding from the European Union through EFRO Oost 2021-2027, this technology can be developed more quickly, with greater accuracy and less risk. The partners are honored to receive the awarded grant.
Henk Jan van Ooijen and Teus van Vianen from TTA-ISO, Peter Hobo from Horizon Technologies and Leendert van Tuijl from Linflowers Chrysanten gratefully accepted the official plaque from Johan Buse and Eefje Nillesen of the Province of Gelderland. The successful grant application was prepared by Jesse Voets and Job Kropman on behalf of PNO Innovation Nederland.
