Glitter and disco, a gala night, 16,000 roses, and creativity from all corners of the world.
Last week, Istanbul became the stage for design, flowers, and connection during the fourth edition of the Table Design Exhibition & Creativity Conference. Among impressive table settings, international speakers, and themed evening networking events, Brent Kaandorp and Pieter Filius of Parfum Flower Company were present, together with Cock van der Hoorn of Coloriginz. For both companies, this marked their second participation in the international event, which brings together professionals from the worlds of luxury events, weddings, and hospitality.

High-end
The Table Design Exhibition is known as a meeting place for the creative world of luxury events, weddings, and high-end hospitality. This year's theme, "Sparkles of Nature," focused on natural elegance and innovative use of materials—an environment in which flowers naturally play a leading role. The event took place from December 17–19 at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention & Exhibition Center and combined spectacular tablescapes with an extensive conference program, masterclasses, B2B meetings, and various networking moments.

16,000 roses
For Parfum Flower Company, one of the highlights was seeing how their roses were incorporated into a wide range of creative concepts. In total, around 16,000 roses were used in various designs, created under the direction of designer Jamie Aston, in collaboration with wedding planner Danielle Nay. The roses came from Tambuzi Roses in Kenya and Alexandra Farms in Colombia. Tim Hobbs of Tambuzi Roses was also present in Istanbul, further strengthening the direct connection between grower, supplier, and end user.

Valuable
"Normally, we mainly work behind the scenes with import and logistics," Brent explains. "That's exactly why moments like these are so valuable. You see happy faces, receive direct feedback, and witness how our products come to life in impressive table settings. It reminds us of the impact of our work."

Sustainable relationships
Sustainability at the event extended beyond environmental aspects. Building and maintaining relationships was also a key theme. "The idea that 'Return on Relation' ultimately leads to 'Return on Investment' really resonated with how we—and many other participants—approached the event. Long-term focused, personal, and based on trust," says Brent.

1,500 hydrangeas
Coloriginz was also one of the Floral Partners of the event, supplying a total of 1,500 hydrangeas. These were used by floral designer Sharon Sacks of Sacks Productions in a specially decorated setting. According to Cock, not only the presentations but also the B2B conversations were highly valuable.

"We spoke with many professionals and were able to showcase various flowers from our assortment. Hydrangeas are available year-round in six colors and three different sizes, which generated a lot of interest," Cock concludes.
