Royal Brinkman announces a step in safeguarding the continuity of its family business. As of January 1, 2026, Ton van Mil and Bas Brinkman will jointly lead the company as Co-CEOs. The year 2026 will serve as a transition year, during which Ton van Mil will retain final responsibility while Bas Brinkman further prepares for his future role.
As of January 1, 2027, the final handover will take place, and Bas Brinkman will assume the position of CEO of Royal Brinkman. Together with CFO Gert-Jan van Peer, he will then form the statutory Board of Management. From 2027 onwards, Ton van Mil will continue to be involved at a more strategic distance, contributing to the company's further development. This transition forms part of a long-term vision and is built on a strong and stable foundation, reaffirming the continuity that has characterised Royal Brinkman since 1885.

According to Ton van Mil, this step aligns naturally with the company's development: "We are doing this at our own pace and from a position of strength. 2026 will be a year in which experience and renewal reinforce one another."
Bas Brinkman adds: "As the fifth generation, I am building on the values that have made Royal Brinkman strong. We will continue to support growers worldwide with solutions that truly contribute to their cultivation."
