India: Hands-on flower workshop organized for workers

A group of enthusiastic horticulture staff from JSW Steel, Dolvi, organized a one-day hands-on flower arrangement workshop for their skill development. The event was guided by Pandharinath Mhaske, an award-winning and certified floral designer and Coordinator of the India Florist Association.

The workshop covered various aspects of flower arrangement, including elements and principles, practical techniques, different-sized table arrangements (centerpieces), flower arranging in vases, and various bouquet-making styles such as hand-tied and presentation bouquets. Participants appreciated the opportunity to learn new skills and expressed satisfaction with the experience.

"The workshop was a great learning experience, and we look forward to more such events in the future," said participant Swapnil Patil.

The event was well-received, and attendees expressed interest in future workshops to further develop their skills. While explaining tips on how to purchase fresh flowers and how to care for flowers and floral arrangements, Mhaske shared that he enjoys promoting the art of flower arranging.
