Catalog showcases new shrub liner program

In 2025, ThinkPlants announced its expansion into the North American shrub market with the creation of a new shrub liner program, ThinkShrubs. Now, the company is launching the new ThinkShrubs catalog with print versions available at the MANTS 2026 tradeshow in Baltimore. This new catalog and program signify a strategic move to enhance the ThinkPlants portfolio, which has primarily focused on perennial genetics since its inception in 2018.

"If you are a shrub grower in North America, you will want to take a close look at this program and the genetics available," says Joey Wiseman, Director of ThinkPlants. "It highlights some truly exceptional genetics selected from Monrovia Nursery's extensive shrub portfolio."

"The new catalog will be a great sales and customer tool," says Jon Russell, ThinkPlants© ThinkPlants Shrub Program Manager. "Not only have we included information on the leading genetics, but we also have order and grower timing for easy reference."

The catalog features many of the Monrovia genetics now available to black pot programs. Monrovia has long been a leader in introducing innovative shrub genetics, and this program will help make these exciting varieties more accessible to the market.

"Our partnership with ThinkPlants allows us to expand our young plants sales further," says Jonathan Pedersen, President and CEO of Monrovia. "We are committed to producing the best liners available and introducing unique genetics to more growers."

In alignment with ThinkPlants' perennial program, this initiative makes all shrubs available without branding restrictions, allowing various programs to use leading market genetics and reach more consumers. The new catalog is in direct support of this.

"The ThinkPlants team is dedicated to gaining exposure and driving sales for all participants," Wiseman says. "Our collective expertise in plant breeding, horticulture, technical support, supply chain management, production, sales, and marketing creates a robust partnership. It makes perfect sense to broaden our approach to include shrubs."

ThinkPlants has invited visitors to meet at MANTS, booth #2678, to explore shrub liner options, discuss the details of this exciting new program, and pick up a ThinkShrubs catalog fresh off the press.

The new catalog is available at the link here.
