The Royal FloraHolland management team would like to thank all members, customers, partners, and employees for their valuable cooperation and the successes of the past year. In a statement, the company said it will "continue to build a strong, future-proof cooperative and floriculture sector. Here's to a wonderful new year. Together, we make a difference; together, we are strong."
The year begins with the news that, as previously announced, Pieter Bootsma will take his first steps toward reintegration at Royal FloraHolland at the end of next week. This is welcomed by all. "At the same time, Pieter's return must take place responsibly and gradually, both for his own well-being and for Royal FloraHolland, to ensure continued clarity in the organisation's management," said the company.

For this reason, the current situation will remain in place, with David van Mechelen continuing in the role of interim CEO for at least the first half of 2026. With the arrival of experienced finance director Anton Sandler, who started this week as interim CFO, the Executive Board of Royal FloraHolland is now complete. This ensures continuity within the Executive Board and enables Royal FloraHolland to continue executing Strategy 2030 at full strength, while giving Pieter the space to gradually take on tasks in the background without managerial responsibilities.
Pieter will rejoin the organisation as an advisor and sparring partner to the Executive Board and the Management Team, with a focus on strategy. In this role, he will not be responsible for any managerial tasks. He will concentrate on several clearly defined strategic programmes without any (joint) responsibility for the management of Royal FloraHolland. During this period, Pieter will also not take on any roles involving external positions.
"Everyone's cooperation is requested to help ensure that Pieter can resume his work smoothly and at the right pace, in the interest of a successful reintegration, which is the highest priority. Pieter will reach out personally at the appropriate time and looks forward to doing so," the statement concluded.
