During IPM Essen, Beekenkamp Plants will launch the renewed Begonia Dreams: a collection that is not only strong in quality but also immersed in an entirely new dream world. At the same time, Beekenkamp is introducing an improvement for indoor begonias: the new BKX-60 tray, delivered fully filled and developed for maximum efficiency and plant quality.
With the introduction of the BKX-60 tray, Beekenkamp sets a new standard in the cultivation of indoor begonias. The rooted varieties—including the BK Collection, Barkos and Ilona—are supplied in fully filled trays with 60 cells. Thanks to a checkerboard pattern used during the early growth phase, each young plant receives extra space, resulting in fuller, broader plants with strong branching. Minimising internal handling further enhances root quality, giving the plants a healthy and robust start.

The new tray also offers advantages for growers. The plants are produced under warm growing conditions, aligned with growers' practical production environments, leading to faster and more uniform onward growth. The BKX trays are easy and efficient to process on trolleys and potting machines. In addition, the tray provides a significantly longer shelf life, reducing losses and increasing flexibility throughout the supply chain.
