From 18 to 20 March 2026, the seventh edition of the Tulip Trade Event will take place as nine companies will open their doors to give visitors from the Netherlands and abroad a comprehensive overview of developments in the tulip sector within just a few days. The event remains popular; increasingly, the question is being raised whether it will be organized annually again. Participants are seriously considering this and expect a possible return to an annual edition starting next year.
As in previous editions, trade is at the heart of the event. Exporters and breeders mainly present assortments that are actually available, giving visitors a realistic impression of the market offering. This makes the Tulip Trade Event an efficient customer contact moment: participants do not see their customers on a weekly basis and use these days to present new products, discuss market developments and explore current topics in greater depth.

Current topics and sector concerns
During the seventh edition, there will be extensive attention to issues currently affecting the sector. The gall mite problem, for example, remains a major concern for growers and forcers. Rising bulb prices are also a topic of discussion: where is the limit of what a tulip may cost? These and other market developments are discussed in detail between customers and suppliers during the event.
FSI compliance
Sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role. Following trends in floriculture, attention to certification is growing, including FSI compliance. This involves not only environmental measures, but also social aspects within the supply chain. For the tulip sector, this means aligning with international expectations and taking new steps toward more transparent and sustainable production.
