The Empress Garden in Pune, India, is all set to bloom with the annual Floral Exhibition from January 23 to 27. This year's event is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Madhav Gadgil, a renowned environmentalist and honorary member of the Agri-Horticulture Society of Western India.

"The exhibition promises to be a treat for nature lovers and flower enthusiasts, featuring stunning floral arrangements, Japanese Ikebana, and exquisite bonsai trees," according to the organization. "Participants from Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Nashik, and neighboring states will showcase their creativity and skills."

"We aim to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility and appreciation for nature's beauty through this exhibition," said Sumanatai Kirloskar, president of the Exhibition Committee. "Dr. Gadgil's legacy serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving our natural heritage," said Suresh Pingale, vice president of the Exhibition Committee.

The event will include competitions for flower arrangements, fruits, and vegetables, as well as pot displays. Students will also participate in art and handwriting competitions, showcasing their talents.
The exhibition will be open to the public from January 23 (1 pm - 7 pm) to January 24 to 27 (9 am - 7 pm).

The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Pune's Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, and prizes will be distributed by Prataprao Pawar, Chairman, Sakal Media Group.
